Checking in and checking up

Posted on Sunday August 19th, 2018 @ 8:44pm by Lieutenant Peter Joshua & Lieutenant Roxa Onaix

Mission: Audience with the King
Location: Sickbay

Doctor Joshua was in sickbay, doing tests on some bio samples he got from various members of the crew.

Lieutenant Onaix adjusted her uniform as she walked through the doors of sickbay and looked around for one of the physicians. "Hello" the Lieutenant wearing the grey uniform said approaching who she assumed was one of the doctors.

When he heard the doors open, he walked away from his experiments and approached the lieutenant, who he found to be very attractive. "I'm Doctor Joshua. Please, please tell me there is something I can do for you."

"Lieutenant Roxa Onaix, reporting for my physical" she smiled and added "doctor" and raised an eyebrow.

"Then as the ship's chief medical officer, I would be happy to take care of you." He led her to a biobed. "Please take a seat."

She followed the Chief Medical Officer to a near by bio bed and hopped up onto the bed "thank you doctor" she said and gave a nod.

Joshua pulled out his tricorder, brought up her medical history, then started scanning her. "Any complaints since your last physical? Any changes in your medical history that hasn't been updated yet? Are you still single?"

"I feel fine" she raised an eye brow at the last question, but answered anyway "yes still single" she said glancing up at him.

Peter smiled at her, then checked the readings. "Well, the computer says that your fine and in great shape, which I didn't need the computer to tell me that. I do have one prescription for you though."

Raising an eyebrow Roxa inquired "what is that doctor?"

"Dinner with me, tonight." He looked at her.

Roxa offered a soft smile and hopped of the bio bed "unfortunately doctor" she paused for a brief second "that isn't possible" she gave a nod.

"Not possible? Why? You aren't married are you? Not that it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me."

She rolled her eyes and took a step around her fellow Lieutenant "Just part of the job" she said slightly cold and gave a nod. She did find him attractive and perhaps after she got to know him, she would have dinner with him, but now was not the time.

Joshua thought to himself, ~A challenge, eh? I like a challenge.~ "Just part of the job? What?, you have a no fraternization policy? Nothing in the regulations that I know of?" He smiled back at her.

"In my line" she paused as another patient walked into the main entrance of sickbay. With a wide smile she added "have a good day doctor" as she turned to go.

Joshua was confused by her response..."In my line." What did that mean? He looked at the new patient. "What can I do for you?"

Roxa exited the sickbay and started down the corridor with a smile on her face.
