Personality & Traits

General Overview Peter has a serious side, especially when he's dealing with his patients health, but he also has a fun loving side. Loves to read, mostly medical journals, but also likes to attend parties with his fellow crew.
Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths: A dedicated and skilled physician, cares deeply for his patients. His medical skill he got from his father, and his bed side manner he got from his mother.

Weaknesses: Sometimes takes a patients death too hard.
Ambitions To continue providing the best medical care for as long as he can, and to one day, be in charge of Starfleet Medical.

Personal History Peter was born on Starbase 117, the only child to Robert and Kelly Joshua. His father was the chief medical officer of the station, and his mother the stations counselor. It was decided at an early age that he would have a career in medicine.

His childhood was filled with fun and games. There were plenty of other children for him to play with, and there were schools on the station as well.

From an early age, Peter always seemed a little more advanced then most of his class mates. His lessons came easy to him. By age 6, he was already reading and comprehending at an age 10 level. By age 16, he had received the equivalent of a college education. And he had passed the entrance exams for Starfleet Academy and Starfleet Medical.

When Peter turned 17, the base threw him a going away party.
Service Record Cadet Peter Joshua entered Starfleet Academy to begin his journey.

For 3 years, Cadet Joshua took the core classes that pre-med students take at the academy. These included command training, physical training and the standard engineering and security courses.

The work was hard and demanding, but with the help of his classmates, he got through the 3 years quickly.
His grades for the 3 years were, like always, excellent. And he also tutored some of his classmates who needed the assistance.

After all his hard work, Cadet Joshua finally entered Starfleet Medical.
This was a hole new adventure.

The first year was learning. 6 classes a day on a wide variety of subjects: anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology. After that, he started on a series of clinical studies: internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, general practice and surgery.

Joshua chosen field was surgery.

The next 2 years involved his residency, treating patients, practicing surgery, post surgical care.

Finally, graduation day arrived. His received his diploma.

Then he started on his fellowship...another 3 years of surgical training.

18 hour days.

Keeping records.

Then finally.......his fellowship was over.

He received his surgical diploma.

NOW he was a doctor.

He finished 3rd in his class.

He chose to become the Chief Medical Officer on the USS Harbinger.
